2010 to 2016 have become the years for bike-share in the United States. In just 6 years, the first modern bike share system has grown exponentially from 1,600 to 42,000 bikes across the country. Making it to be one of the top 5 largest public transportation and considered as the second choice to commute to school after bus for some students.
Unfortunately, the gear to ensure users life is still neglected. As a consequences, bike-share has added more than 254,000 injured with around 871 bicyclist fatalities every year.
Inspired by the compactness of a to-go box, TOGO helmet sought to reduce the total bike-share injuries count by a product that allow the user to carry with ease.
TOGO is a flat-pack or compact helmet designed specifically for bike-share riders which folds into a box and fits in their bag. Now, the helmet is on the final prototyping and testing. Soon, it will be ready to launch on the market.

How It Works
Every parts has their own place inside the folded TOGO. Once needed to be used, users can simply open the box to unfold and connect each velcro on each sides to transform the box into a helmet. Adjust the velcro placement for fitting users head at any age. Now, they would be able to put the helmet on their head, fasten the buckle, and enjoy the ride safely.
