As a business or organization grows, leaders often forget to see that worker's mental health also plays an important role in driving the employee's engagement and productivity to achieve any goals. As a result,
many leaders spend unreasonable amount of time trying to manage ineffective and unproductive behavior. If this practice continues, it could affect employees' health to chronic illness or even suicide.
Seeing these challenges, Mason, a mobile infrastructure for android devices company needing a healthcare design that changes how companies interact and work with their employees about mental health.
Researching, ideating, digital prototyping, and receiving feedbacks from Mason's team and several psychologists led me to design COCO. It is a simplified booth design with IoT system that allows stressed out employees in big companies to speak directly to a psychologist and receive mental healthcare solutions quickly. Additionally, the IoT system is also anonymously collecting data from the workers, doing A/B testing, and analyzing it before reaching the company executives' computer. It will only reveal the worker informations if needed more attention such as suicide attempt or violence warning.

How It Works
COCO booth needs a working internet connection in order to connect 4 major persons ( employee / the main user, doctors, user's family / friends, and company's executive / Mason's customer). COCO system is also integrated with its app which can be downloaded in any devices.

CURRENT
DESIGNS
Any mental health issue diagnostic or treatment device, such as smart watch, Carrot app, Muse, smart ring, and NeoRhythm. The most popular is psychologist therapy.
Doesn't work well as promised
User needs to search for their own way out
Technology could lead to misdiagnosis
No privacy when user shows their emotions/feelings
Written data could be lost
From diagnose to therapy consumes a lot of time or money
Not too efficient to reduce mental health issues
DESIGN OPPORTUNITY
CONNECTION
Most prospective users prefer sense of bonding with human and dislike robot diagnostic tool
PRIVACY
Humans get comfort and security from enclosed and private space
SOLUTIONS
Suggesting solutions would allow users to get a better understanding about mental health than diagnostic tools
